Travel to Korea and New York Day3

17/Aug./2011

We are going to leave here to N.Y. today.
We moved to the air port by bus at 6:00 in the morning.

This was the first in-flight meal today.

These were our second in-flight meal.
This was a Korean meal calls Japchae which my sister ate.

This was mine. It was an American style meal.

The air plane was going to ready to a land at the JFK.

We took an airport shuttle taxi to hotel but we missed our shuttle and we waited nearly 2hours in the air port.
We did reservation O.K. but we hadn’t to move there but we left there only 10minutes.
I asked gently many receptionists so many times after meeting time but they said “Just wait there.” every times.
I caught new receptionist and explained us then she took new reservation soon. We spent 1 hour on that time.
The JFK is huge air port and there are so many terminals in there. The shuttle taxi picks up some customers all terminals then we took another hour to left the JFK.
Anyway we arrived at our hotel safety.

We stayed at the Salisbury Hotel which is located very near the central park.
We searched this hotel on internet and this was quite reasonable, good values and 3 stars.

Look! We had 2 king sized beds,

a simple kitchen,

a sweet classic bathroom,

and 2 big closets with an iron.

Place was about 15000Yen for par night with tax.

This was very old hotel but I could feel this is it! We did very comfortable to stay and we love to stay here again.

This is the fifth avenue from our street at night.

This day, we were going to meet our friend and her son who stayed the same hotel from 15th and they went to the musical of Spider-Man in this afternoon matinee.
I and my sister had deep sleep after arrived hotel and also my friend and son had sleep after musical.
We couldn’t meet soon but we both already bought dinner and some foods when we met, so we really know well.
At last, we spent lovely time in our first night in N.Y.
By the way I and my sister ate precooked noodles by Nissin. We never sew those flavors in Japan and they were tasty.
