7月・8月の畑 Allotment on July and August

7月5日　05/Jul./2011
いっぱい実がついて喜んでいたキュウリですが、本を読むと下から5節までの雌花は取ってしまわなければいけないとあり、その後、すべて摘み取りました(涙)
これも、枝を充実させ、立派なキュウリを実らせるため

I was so happy to have many female flowers on but I have to take off them to ripen the cucumber young plants for a while. It book said.
I took many flowers with cry. I hope they will be strong plants.

お陰で7月早々写真のような立派なキュウリが収穫できました
雌花もいっぱい付いてきました♪

This is our first cucumber and there are many female flowers again.

トマトも枝が折れそうなほど、たわわに実をつけています

There are many green tomatoes. It looks heavy.

今年はインゲンもどうにか収穫できそう

We also will get few kidney beans too.

ピーマンもまずまずです

The green peppers look better.

7月18日　18/Jul./2011

ズッキーニ初収穫です
ただ、見ての通りいびつ。上手く交配ができていないのかもしれません

This is a first courgette but looks funny.
I think it wasn’t cross well. Do I have to help?

7月21日　21/Jul./2011

前日、台風ですごい風でした
アパートの隣の畑のキュウリ棚は完全になぎ倒されていました
恐る恐る見に行ってみると、我が家のキュウリはどうにか無事でした

We had a big typhoon and storm yesterday.
My neighborhood’s cucumber trellises were all down.
I went to my allotment cautiously, but my one was O.K.

けれどトマトは実がついて重くなっていた分、完全になぎ倒されてしまいました

Many tomatoes were down

7月23日　23/Jul./2011

トマトの枝は折れてしまったり、かなり悲惨な状況
とりあえず、収穫しました。他にもナスやピーマンも初収穫
トマトの表面に白い斑点があるのが気になります
これは病気なのかな？
トマトはカメムシが青いころからたくさんたかっていて果汁を吸ってるような気配
この吸い跡が白くなってるならいいのですが…
いろいろ本を見ましたがこれについては書いてありませんでした

Almost tomatoes had damaged. I harvested some tomatoes, green peppers and aubergine.
I worry about some white spots on the tomato skin. Is this some sick? I looked for some books and internet but I couldn’t fine.
I saw some stink bugs when they were green. Did the stink bugs take juice?

7月30日　30/Jul./2011

今年は雌花が少なく、とりあえず1つは確実に交配できたよう
後、3本あるので実がついてくれるといいのですが…

There are only few female flowers this year and only one pumpkin looks good.
There are another 3 pumpkin plants. We hope they will have lots of female flowers.
8月早々、帰省するので雑草を抜いたり、剪定をしたり7月は毎日が畑漬けという日々
かなり日に焼けました。周りで遊ぶ小学生に負けないほどです

I was going to go back to my home town early August.
I spend almost days in allotment on July and I took suntan.
My arms are really good tanned.

8月31日　31/Aug./2011

久々の畑は想像通り、悲惨な状況
でも、周りの畑のおばちゃんたちは｢旦那さん、よくやってたよ〜｣と
休みの日は何度も水を運んだり、雑草取りをしてくれたようです
感謝、感謝
たくさん生っている、ピーマンを大収穫
間引きのニンジンとゴーヤーは初収穫です
思ったよりもゴーヤーの実生りが悪いようで心配

サツマイモは周りに広がった葉を戻しているときに
ひょっこり土から頭が出てるのを発見
土をかけて埋め戻してたら｢採っちゃいなさいよ｣と言われ抜いてみました
お勧め通り、てんぷらにして食べました

9月に入ったらまたしばらく留守にするため、剪定のみ
シソもすごいし、これからが大変そう

I came back to my home here but allotment was awful looking which more than I thought.
My husband did watering and weeding only weekend and also my allotment friends said he worked very hard.
I couldn’t believe but he gave me long vacation and he is going to take me to Spain soon.
I should shut my mouth and say thank you to him.
I harvested many green peppers, some little carrots and a first bitter gourd.
The bitter gourds look not good.
This sweet potato was bit early to harvest but came out from soil.
I cooked it Tempura.

I have lots of work to do after Spain!
